Hello Seafarers! Welcome to PortMiami!

Our ministry is here to care for you and make sure you are well and happy during your staying in Miami. Our ministry offers free services for you enjoy such as and air conditioned facility, clean restrooms, free Wi-Fi, free delicious snacks, hot coffee and cold water.

We also offer free emotional and spiritual care for crew members, men and women, who are seeking pastoral care and someone to pray for them.

  • The International Seafarer Ministry of Miami is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.

  • Important mailing info: The Seaman Center, The Seaman Cafe and the International Seafarer Ministry share the same mailing address. All mail and packages arrive in the the Seaman Center. If you desire to send/receive package, please go to the Seaman Center.

Transportation Information

Free Miami Trolley: From/To Port Miami

The trolley is a very convenient “small-bus” type of free transportation that will take you from the seaport over to the various stops. The trolley that comes into PortMiami is called the “Coral Way Trolley”. There is a very covenient stop right across from our ministry center in between terminals “E” and “F”. Very convenient.

The Coral Way Trolley (the only trolley at Port Miami)

The trolley that goes inside PortMiami is called the Coral Way Trolley, operated by the City of Miami, and it is free. It is the only public transit that provides direct service from/to the port.

  • The Coral Way Trolley offers free service to and from PortMiami, stopping at key locations across the Port:

    • Stop 1 (Southside): Across from Cruise Terminal J Parking Garage (this corresponds to the are at the end of the bridge that connects PortMiami with Downtown)

    • Stop 2 (Northside): Across from Cruise Terminal E Surface Parking Lot (this is the stop right across from our ministry center)

    • Stop 3 (Northside): Across from PortMiami Administrative Offices

Walking to Downtown Miami

If the weather is favorable (in case of rain or storm) you can also enjoy a relaxing walk across the PortMiami Bridge for a scenic route to Downtown. The PortMiami Bridge is just couple minutes away from our ministry center.

NOTE: The City of Miami trolleys do not go to Miami Beach.

Metro Bus: Routes, schedules, etc.

City buses do not go inside Port Miami.

Many Metrobus routes serve the Downtown Miami Bus Terminal, which is about a 10–15 minute walk from the nearest Coral Way Trolley stop. Some of the routes that stop in or pass through downtown include:

  • Route 3: Runs along Biscayne Boulevard.

  • Route 8: Travels along Southwest 8th Street.

  • Route 11: Travels along Flagler Street.

  • Route 100: Connects Downtown Miami and Aventura Mall via Miami Beach.

  • Route 101: Terminates in Downtown Miami.

  • Route 203 (Biscayne Max): Provides limited-stop weekday service between the Aventura Mall and the Downtown Metrobus terminal.

  • Route 836 Express: Serves Downtown Miami from the Dolphin Station Park & Ride.

Transfer to the Coral Way Trolley

To complete your journey to PortMiami, you can transfer to the Coral Way Trolley from a downtown location. Key transfer points include:

  • Government Center Metrorail / Metromover station

  • The area near Bayside Marketplace and Maurice A. Ferré Park

The Coral Way Trolley has several stops inside the port, serving the administrative offices and various cruise terminals.

Metrorail: Train

The Metrorail system is a 25-mile dual track that provides service to Miami International Airport (MIA) and runs from Kendall through South Miami, Coral Gables, and downtown Miami; to the Civic Center/Jackson Memorial Hospital area; and to Brownsville, Liberty City, Hialeah, and Medley in northwest Miami-Dade, with connections to Broward and Palm Beach counties at three locations: Historic Overtown Lyric Theatre station – transfer to Brightline, MIA (Orange Line) and the Tri-Rail (Green Line) stations – transfer to Tri-Rail.
