International Seafarer Ministry of Miami, Inc.
Effective Date: October 19, 2026

Welcome to www.ismportmiami.org, operated by International Seafarer Ministry of Miami, Inc. (“ISM,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and related online services, including donation forms, event registration, and communication programs.

By using our website or submitting information through our online services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.

About Our Ministry

ISM provides hospitality, spiritual care, encouragement, and support to international seafarers visiting PortMiami. Our website provides information about our mission, activities, events, volunteer opportunities, and ways to support our work.

Information on this website is provided for general informational and ministry purposes. Pastoral support does not replace professional medical, mental health, legal, financial, or emergency services.

Appropriate Use

You agree to use our website lawfully and respectfully. You must not:

  • Submit false, misleading, fraudulent, or unauthorized information.

  • Impersonate another person or use another person’s information without permission.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our website, accounts, or systems.

  • Introduce malicious software, disrupt website operations, or misuse our forms.

  • Use our website to send unlawful, threatening, abusive, or unsolicited content.

We may restrict access or decline submissions when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security concerns, or violations of these terms.

Information You Submit

You are responsible for ensuring that information you provide is accurate, complete, and current. If you submit information about someone else, you must have appropriate authorization.

Information submitted through our website and communication programs is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

Please do not submit full payment card details, sensitive identification documents, or confidential medical information through ordinary email, text messages, or general contact forms.

Donations and Recurring Giving

Donations support ISM’s mission, programs, operations, and related ministry needs. Any accepted restrictions on a gift will be governed by the applicable gift agreement or campaign terms.

If you authorize recurring donations, you authorize charges in the amount and frequency selected until you modify or cancel that authorization. You may request changes or cancellation through your donor account, where available, or by contacting us. Please allow reasonable processing time before the next scheduled charge.

If you believe a donation was made in error or without authorization, contact us promptly. Refund requests will be reviewed individually, subject to applicable law and payment processor requirements.

Any tax deductibility depends on applicable law and the nature of the contribution. Payments for tickets, goods, services, or other benefits may be treated differently from donations. Please consult your tax adviser regarding your circumstances.

Event Registration and Admission

Event attendance is subject to availability, registration requirements, and any additional terms disclosed for that event.

For events held aboard ships or within restricted port facilities:

  • Each attendee must provide accurate registration information and any required identification.

  • Registration must be completed by the stated deadline.

  • Attendees must comply with the requirements of the cruise line, port authority, security personnel, and venue operator.

  • Tickets and registrations may not be transferred without prior approval.

  • Registration or payment does not override security screening, identification requirements, boarding deadlines, or venue restrictions.

  • Admission and boarding remain subject to approval by the responsible authorities and venue operator.

We are not responsible for denied admission resulting from inaccurate information, missing identification, late arrival, or failure to comply with disclosed requirements.

Event Changes, Cancellations, and Refunds

Event schedules, speakers, venues, transportation arrangements, and activities may change.

Any event-specific cancellation and refund terms will be provided during registration or in related event communications. If ISM cancels or materially changes a paid event, we will notify registrants and explain available options, subject to applicable law.

Unless expressly included in the event offering, attendees are responsible for their own travel, lodging, parking, and other personal expenses.

Raffles, Auctions, and Special Fundraising Activities

Raffles, auctions, and other special fundraising activities are subject to separate official rules, eligibility requirements, and applicable law. Those rules govern participation, payments, prizes, winner selection, and any associated restrictions.

Website access or a general donation does not automatically constitute entry into a raffle or other prize promotion.

Email and Text Messages

You may choose to receive ministry updates, event information, volunteer communications, fundraising appeals, and other messages from ISM.

By separately opting in to our text messaging program, you agree to receive messages within the scope of your consent at the mobile number you provide. Automated technology may be used to send messages. Consent to promotional text messages is not a condition of donating, purchasing tickets, or receiving ministry assistance.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

To stop text messages, reply STOP. You may receive a final message confirming your opt-out. For assistance, reply HELP or contact jsalas@ismportmiami.org or 786-287-5781.

You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe link in those messages.

You must provide a mobile number you are authorized to use and notify us if that number changes. Message delivery may be delayed or unavailable because of carrier, network, or technical conditions. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your mobile information and messaging consent are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Acceptance of these website terms alone does not enroll you in promotional text messages.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, website text, designs, photographs, graphics, logos, and other content belong to ISM or are used with permission.

You may view, share links to, and print website content for personal, noncommercial purposes, provided that attribution and ownership notices remain intact. Other reproduction, modification, distribution, or commercial use requires permission from the appropriate rights holder.

Third-party names, logos, and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

Personal Stories, Prayer Requests, and Other Submissions

You retain ownership of original content you submit. By submitting a message, prayer request, or other material, you authorize us to use it as reasonably necessary to respond and provide the requested ministry support.

Submission alone does not authorize public use of your identifiable testimony, prayer request, or personal story. We seek permission before publicly sharing such material, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Websites and Services

Our website may link to or use third-party services for payments, registration, communications, social media, or other functions.

Those services may have separate terms and privacy policies. ISM does not control their content, availability, or operations. A link does not necessarily constitute an endorsement.

Website Availability and Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate and current, but errors, omissions, interruptions, and outdated information may occur. Please contact us to confirm details that are important to your donation, registration, or participation.

To the extent permitted by law, the website is provided “as is” and “as available,” without guarantees of uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or suitability for a particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, ISM will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, this website.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or gross negligence where such limitations are prohibited.

Children and Minors

Parents or legal guardians must complete or authorize registrations, payments, and required permissions for minors. Event-specific age restrictions may apply.

Our website is not directed to children under 13. Please see our Privacy Policy for information about children’s personal information.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions as our website, activities, or practices change. Revised terms will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by applicable law.

Changes will apply prospectively and will not retroactively alter completed transactions without an appropriate legal basis or agreement.
