International Seafarers Ministry of Miami

The International Seafarers Ministry of Miami exists to serve the men and women of the maritime community: Cruise and Cargo ship workers. We serve them with love, compassion, hospitality, and spiritual care in the name of Jesus Christ.

We affirm that every person is created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and is therefore worthy of dignity, respect, and care. Because of this conviction:

  • We provide our services, care, and support to all individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, country of origin, language, or sexual orientation.

  • We are committed to treating every seafarer, volunteer, staff member, and guest with mutual kindness and respect.

  • We seek to create a safe and welcoming environment where people from all cultures and backgrounds can find rest, encouragement, and hope.

At the same time, we also affirm that our ministry is unapologetically grounded in the timeless truths of the Bible and and of historical Christianity. This means that:

  • Our programs, teachings, and spiritual care are guided by the principles of Scripture.

  • Our staff and volunteers are expected to uphold and model Christian character in their service.

  • While we welcome all, we also openly and joyfully share the hope of the Gospel, inviting every person to encounter the love of God in Jesus Christ.

In summary:
We are committed to serving all people without discrimination, while remaining faithful to our calling as a Christian ministry that stands on biblical truth.
