Donations and Payments

Online donations and payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Information entered directly into a provider’s payment form is handled according to that provider’s privacy policy and security practices.

ISM may receive transaction details needed for accounting, donor support, and receipts. Please do not send full payment card numbers or card security codes through ordinary email, text messages, or general website contact forms.

When We Share Information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers that support website hosting, email and text communications, online forms, payment processing, recordkeeping, and event management.

  • Cruise lines, port authorities, security personnel, and venue operators when necessary to process event registration, verify identity, or arrange access.

  • Authorized ministry personnel and volunteers who need information to respond to requests or carry out ministry responsibilities.

  • Government authorities or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect safety, prevent fraud, or defend legal rights.

  • Other recipients at your direction or with your permission, subject to the text messaging protections below.

We do not sell or rent personal information or donor mailing lists. We do not provide donor contact information to other organizations for their independent fundraising without permission.

Mobile phone numbers and text messaging consent information are subject to the additional protections described below.

Text Messages and Mobile Communications

If you opt in to receive text messages from ISM, we may send ministry updates, event invitations and reminders, volunteer coordination messages, fundraising appeals, and responses to your inquiries.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive promotional text messages is not a condition of making a donation, purchasing a ticket, or receiving ministry assistance.

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. After opting out, you may receive a confirmation message. For assistance, reply HELP or contact us at jsalas@ismportmiami.org or 786-287-5781.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or text messaging opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may share this information with service providers solely as necessary to deliver and support our text messaging program, or when disclosure is required by law. Text messaging consent records are not shared for unrelated purposes.

Prayer Requests and Personal Stories

Prayer requests may contain sensitive personal information. We use these requests to provide prayer and pastoral support and limit access to those involved in responding.

We seek permission before publicly sharing an identifiable prayer request, personal testimony, or story. Please obtain permission before submitting sensitive information about another person.

Cookies and Third-Party Services

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to support website functions, remember preferences, and understand website usage. Embedded content and third-party services may also collect information under their own privacy policies.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some website features. Where required by applicable law, we will request consent before using nonessential tracking technologies.

Your Choices

You may unsubscribe from promotional or fundraising emails using the unsubscribe link in those messages or by contacting us. To stop text messages, reply STOP as described above. We may still send necessary administrative communications through appropriate channels, such as donation receipts and event instructions.

You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to ask us to stop certain uses. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity. Some records must be retained for accounting, legal, security, or operational purposes, including records needed to honor communication opt-outs.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including applicable recordkeeping requirements.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
