Ministry General Information
Our ministry exists to share the love of Jesus Christ by meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the international seafarers that visit PortMiami. We hope they experience the transformational love of Jesus Christ each time to come a visit us.
Serve: Become a Volunteer
We serve as an act of worship to God, and this perspective shapes the very heart and purpose of our ministry. If God is calling you to serve faithfully and with dedication, our ministry is the perfect place for you to make a difference.
Pastoral Care and Support
Our team is always available at the ministry campus to pray with you and offer encouragement. Fellowship is held Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m., with additional gatherings at seasonal times. Our chapel is open for quiet prayer or personal reflection.

Our Sports Center
Our ministry features a spacious and welcoming sports area where seafarers can stay active and unwind. Tennis, basketball, volleyball courts and a swimming pool offer a great place to exercise, enjoy some fresh air, and relax during your visit.
The Church at Sea
The Church at Sea is a fellowship of Christian seafarers who gather aboard ships to worship, pray, and encourage one another while at sea. Even during long voyages, they find spiritual strength and community through God’s Word and shared faith.
The Seaman Center & Café
The Seaman Center provides package, mail, and money-sending services. Next door, the Seafarer Café offers affordable, delicious meals. While not part of our ministry, both are trusted local partners and convenient for visiting seafarers.
Every year, close to 2,500 ships reach PortMiami, with over 30,000 seafarers from all over the globe.
The ministry exists to share the love of Jesus Christ by meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the international seafarers that visit South Florida.
The ISM Port Miami ministry serves thousands of seafarers every year, and that number keeps growing.
What We Do
We provide a welcoming environment to all seafarers passing through the Port of Miami, where we offer free high-speed WiFi, a safe space for relaxation, reading materials, snacks, coffee, refreshments and spiritual guidance. While at the center, the seafarers are able to call their loved ones, surf the web, read books, magazines, or watch movies, all which are provided for free.
We also help meet seafarers’ needs by assisting with shipping and receiving of packages, and by providing transportation in our ministry van to and from key places like the mall, stores, and sightseeing locations.
Our mission is to serve the seafarers navigating through the Port of Miami with compassion and dedication. Our ministry aims to foster a community where seafarers find solace, support, and spiritual enrichment amidst the challenges of their maritime journeys. By providing services to meet their physical and emotional needs, we earn the privilege to minister to their spiritual needs.
Through our outreach, we strive to embody Christ's love and care, ensuring that every seafarer passing through the Port of Miami feels valued, encouraged, and equipped for their voyage ahead.
